RW Series aluminum nitride powders (AlN) are sintered, high-purity particles with a spherical shape, available in D50 sizes from 30 μm to 160 μm, with an advanced anti-hydrolysis treatment applied.
Spherical particles achieve the highest thermal conductivity among AlN powder geometries by enabling superior filler loading and efficient packing in polymer matrices. The anti-hydrolysis treatment provides excellent hydrolysis resistance, which keeps thermal performance and powder stability intact in wet and humid conditions. Hydrolysis resistance is tested with the powder immersed in water at 85°C/85%RH for more than 500 hours.
Combined with large particle sizes, RW Series is the preferred choice for demanding thermal interface material formulations where both maximum thermal conductivity and long-term stability in wet and humid conditions are required.
Key applications
RW Series can be compounded with silicone polymers and epoxy resins to develop highly thermally conductive products, including grease, gels, films, tapes, pads, and coatings.
