NWS Series aluminum nitride powders (AlN) are polycrystalline, high-purity particles with a roundish shape, available in D50 sizes from 1.5 μm to 130 μm, with a silicone-compatible surface coating and an advanced anti-hydrolysis treatment applied.
The roundish particle shape improves flowability and filling rate over fully irregular particles, offering a practical balance between thermal conductivity performance and cost. The silicone-compatible coating improves particle bonding in silicone polymer matrices. The anti-hydrolysis treatment provides excellent hydrolysis resistance in wet and humid conditions (tested with powder immersed in water at 85°C/85%RH for more than 500 hours). The wide size range, including grades from 1.5 μm, also makes NWS Series suitable as a sub-filler in ultra-thin thermal interface material formulations.
Key applications
NWS Series can be compounded with silicone polymers to develop highly thermally conductive products, including thermal grease, gels, films, tapes, pads, and coatings.
