RFS Series aluminum nitride powders (AlN) are sintered, high-purity particles with a spherical shape, available in D50 sizes from 30 μm to 160 μm, with a silicone-compatible surface coating applied.
Spherical particles achieve the highest thermal conductivity among AlN powder geometries by enabling superior filler loading and efficient packing in polymer matrices. The coating improves particle bonding in silicone polymer matrices and raises hydrolysis resistance compared to uncoated grades. Combined with large particle sizes, RFS Series is the preferred choice for demanding thermal interface material formulations where maximum thermal conductivity is the priority.
Key applications
RFS Series can be compounded with silicone polymers to develop highly thermally conductive products, including thermal grease, gels, films, tapes, pads, and coatings.
