RFE Series aluminum nitride powders (AlN) are sintered, high-purity particles with a spherical shape, available in D50 sizes from 30 μm to 160 μm, with an epoxy-functional surface coating applied.

Spherical particles achieve the highest thermal conductivity among AlN powder geometries by enabling superior filler loading and efficient packing in polymer matrices. The coating improves particle bonding in epoxy resin matrices and raises hydrolysis resistance compared to uncoated grades. Combined with large particle sizes, RFE Series is the preferred choice for demanding thermal interface material formulations where maximum thermal conductivity is the priority.

Key applications

RFE Series can be compounded with epoxy resins to develop highly thermally conductive products, including thermal adhesives, encapsulants, films, tapes, pads, and coatings.

Features

  • Spherical-shaped particles for maximum thermal conductivity

  • Narrow particle size distribution

  • Available in multiple particle sizes (30–160 μm)

  • Epoxy-functional surface coating

  • Improved hydrolysis resistance (24–72 hours)
